Where to Find Hair Loss Accessories and Breast Cancer Products

Cancer treatments can cause major changes in the way you look — like surgery for breast cancer that removes part or all of your breast, or the chemo that is used to treat many types of cancer and makes your hair fall out. Treatment can also cause major changes in how you feel about your body — your body image. For some people, this is a very tough time and these changes can be hard to get used to. Some of the companies listed here have products that can help you get back a sense of yourself and help you feel better by looking better. Sometimes you can do this by wearing an attractive turban or finding a comfortable breast form that looks natural and feels secure.

Breast forms

When your doctor says you are ready, you should be fitted with a breast form (prosthesis) suited to you. Breast prostheses are breast forms that are put inside a bra to make your breasts look natural and balanced. You should wear whatever bra you find most comfortable. Keep in mind that the best doesn’t have to be the most expensive.

tlc (Tender Loving Care®) is an American Cancer Society publication. It is both a magazine and catalog that combines helpful articles and information about cancer with specialized mail order products for women coping with breast cancer or any cancer treatment that causes hair loss.
