Treating Vulvar Cancer TOPICS

Treatment of vulvar adenocarcinoma

If Paget’s disease is present and there is no associated invasive carcinoma, treatment is wide local excision or simple vulvectomy. If an invasive adenocarcinoma of a Bartholin gland or of vulvar skin sweat glands is present, a partial radical vulvectomy is recommended with removal of inguinal (groin) lymph nodes on one or both sides of the body, depending on the site of the primary tumor.
