New Inspiration in the Fight Against Cancer

Article date: September 10, 2010

Art Music BirthdaysFor nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been working every day, in every community, to fight for every birthday threatened by cancer.

Thanks in part to the progress we’ve made together, 350 more birthdays that would have been lost to cancer are being celebrated each day and 11 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday this year. But we can’t stop there.

That’s why we’re enlisting the help of two powerful forces to continue the progress: art and music. Famous artists and musicians are donating their talent and creativity to inspire more people to take action in the fight against cancer. With their help and yours, we can keep moving toward a world with more birthdays.

Imagine your favorite musician singing “Happy Birthday” in a greeting you can personalize for your friends or family, or limited-edition art, wrapping paper, and posters inspired by our lifesaving work. Work like funding cutting-edge cancer research, providing support programs and practical services to people dealing with cancer, encouraging people to take steps to help lower their cancer risk, and pressing lawmakers to devote more resources to finding cures.

Join artists and musicians in helping the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with more birthdays. Visit morebirthdays.com today.
