New England's Spinning Events Fight Cancer Through Fun and Fitness

Spin for Hope in New England

2011 Spin for Hope is scheduled for Sunday, March 6!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, 900 Spin for Hope participants pedaled tirelessly to show their support and dedication in the fight against cancer. The three-hour indoor cycling event, took place simultaneously at 44 health clubs -- up from 37 in 2009 -- throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The events should raise close to last year’s $330,000.

SpinOdyssey, a third party annual event that took place in Connecticut on the same day, raised $380,000 for breast cancer research -- $130,000 over its goal.

Spin for Hope participants can either register as an individual and cycle for the entire three hours, or form a team of two or more people and take turns cycling. Individuals registering to cycle the whole three hours are asked to raise a minimum of $300, and teammates are asked to raise a minimum of $100 each.

SpinOdyssey is 100% volunteer-run by people who are breast cancer survivors, indoor cycling and fitness instructors and students, and their families and friends.
