Access to Pain Control
Globally, cancer deaths are expected to nearly double by 2030, with many people in developing countries dying in terrible pain. The WHO estimates that each year, 5.5 million terminal cancer patients in countries with little access to controlled medicines suffer without adequate treatment. We play a unique role in this work by bringing our technical expertise to the field. As a partner in the Global Access to Pain Relief Initiative (GAPRI), we help promote access to pain relief for cancer patients from Tanzania to Turkey, Uganda to Ukraine.
