In 2016, the Relay For Life program has been selected as the charity of choice for 115 Insane Inflatable 5K events and 20 Kids Fun Run events held across the country. The Insane Inflatable 5K and Kids Fun Run events are a dynamic and extreme obstacle race made up solely of inflatable obstacles. By aiming to provide 40 volunteers to help, local Relay events will receive potentially $1,500 or more, media exposure and the opportunity to promote the local Relay event at the Insane Inflatable 5K events and Kids Fun Run events. The local Relay event will also collect additional donations from their participants through Insane Inflatables’ online registration site and a $5 kick back when participants use “ACS5” during the registration check out. They anticipate over 400K participants. ACS staff and family can receive a 20% discount when the code “ACS20” is used online during registration checkout.

Pedal to the Finish is a one- to three-hour indoor cycling event series, presented by Condé Nast’s SELF magazine, that aims to raise awareness about cancer prevention, provide a fun and meaningful physical activity, while simultaneously raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Participating health and fitness clubs plan the events and spin/cycling instructors act as volunteer hosts. All registered participants, through a $30 registration fee, are entitled to receive a one-year subscription, both hard copy and digital, to SELF or GQ magazine. Pedal to the Finish and SELF will contribute $15 of each registration fee to the American Cancer Society. In addition, it will be suggested that participants raise $100 per hour of cycling with 100% of all proceeds from participant and team fundraising to be directed to the American Cancer Society.

For the fourth consecutive year, 187 Stop & Shop Grocery Stores in NY, NJ, and CT will conduct a point-of-sale campaign over a nearly three week period in October, asking customers to make a $1, $3, or $5 donation to help finish the fight against breast cancer. This campaign has generated over $200,000 each of the past two years, providing significant fundraising support to over twenty Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events in the Tri-State Region. Additionally, Stop & Shop donates over 200,000 bottles of water annually to sixteen MSABC events, expanding Stop & Shop’s commitment to and partnership with the American Cancer Society.
