How To Use This Site

Quick Links: 1. Finding a Material   2. Learning about the Contributing Agencies

1. Finding a Material

The search function allows you to search for a material by: language, cancer type, topic, author, or word/phrase.  In each case you may select multiple items. For example you may select lung and liver for the cancer type and Korean and Chinese for the language. This search would return a list of all Chinese and Korean language materials that are categorized as being about lung or liver cancer.

If you enter a word or phrase, the site will search for materials with the word or phrase in the title or abstract. The site does not search the text of the material itself for the word or phrase.

To start a search:
A. If you are not already on the search page press "Main APICEM Page" at the top of the page.
B. Select the language, cancer type, topic, author, or enter a word/phrase, then click Search.
C. The Tool will return a list of all materials that match your criteria.
D. The list is initially sorted by posting date descending so the most recent materials are listed first.  To resort the list, press the underlined column header and the list will be resorted by that column value.
E. To view a particular material, press on the language of the material title you are interested in.
  • From the American Cancer Society website, a new page will open letting you know that you are leaving the ACS site and asking if you want to continue. Follow the directions on the screen. A new window will open in the contributing agency's site with the material.
  • From the AANCART website, a new window will open into the contributor’s website.
