Treatment of pain in cancer of unknown primary
Pain can be a real concern for people with CUP. But there are proven ways to relieve pain using medicines and, in some cases, surgery. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have pain. For most patients, morphine or other medicines like it will help control the pain. For pain medicines to work, they must be taken on schedule and not just when the pain gets bad. There are long-acting forms of many of these drugs.
