How many people get Hodgkin disease?
The American Cancer Society’s estimates for Hodgkin disease in the United States for 2013 are:
- About 9,190 new cases of Hodgkin disease
- About 1,180 deaths from Hodgkin disease
Both children and adults can get Hodgkin disease but it is most common in 2 age groups: early adulthood (ages 15 to 40, especially in a person’s 20s) and late adulthood (after age 55). About 10% to 15% of all cases are found in children and teens.
