Can Hodgkin disease be prevented?
There are few known risk factors for Hodgkin disease that a person can avoid, so it is not possible to prevent most cases of the disease at this time. One way to keep your risk from being increased would be to stay away from known risk factors for infection with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS (such as IV drug use and unsafe sex with many partners).
