Experts Gather to Discuss Latest Breast Cancer Research

Article date: December 8, 2011

Breast cancer researchers from all over the world head to Texas this week for the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS). Now in its 34th year, the conference showcases the latest in breast cancer research.

The event, which runs from December 6th through the 10th, is co-sponsored by the Cancer Therapy and Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR), and the Baylor College of Medicine. This year’s schedule will focus on emerging treatments in hard-to-treat populations, including patients with metastatic breast cancer, and on new knowledge about prevention and risk.
