International Breast Cancer Research Conference Under Way
Article date: December 5, 2012
Breast cancer researchers from all over the world head to Texas this week for the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS). Now in its 35th year, the conference showcases the latest in breast cancer research.
The event, which runs from December 4th through the 8th, is co-sponsored by the Cancer Therapy and Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR), and the Baylor College of Medicine. This year’s schedule will focus on emerging treatments in hard-to-treat populations, such as patients with triple-negative breast cancer, and new knowledge on biologic targets and prevention.
