What are the key statistics about small intestine adenocarcinoma?
Cancers of the small intestine are rare. The American Cancer Society estimates for these cancers in the United States for 2016 are:
- About 10,090 people in the United States will be diagnosed with small intestine cancer (in about 3,140 of these the small intestine cancer will be adenocarcinoma).
- About 1,330 people will die of small intestine cancer.
This cancer is more common in African Americans than in whites in the United States.
