Global Initiatives by Region

The American Cancer Society joins with public, private, and nonprofit sector partners at a ceremony during the Beijing Olympics to recognize more than 70 companies that are participating in the American Cancer Society's Smokefree Worksite Initiative in China

The American Cancer Society aims to be a global leader in cancer control, through information sharing, advocacy, capacity building, resource mobilization and collaboration with other cancer organizations throughout the world. The American Cancer Society programs include multi-year engagements in more than 20 countries in the regions of Africa and the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Within each region, ACS fights cancer through three areas of global mission delivery: advocacy, capacity building and information.
