This May, Walgreens will execute their “Women’s Health Awareness” campaign. During the month long promotional period Walgreens will offer consumers the opportunity to contribute $1 and receive the Walgreens “Give $5, Get $5” coupon booklet filled with Women’s Health Awareness tips and savings on a variety of products; or, consumers can Give $5 and receive the booklet plus, a $5 Register Reward coupon good on the next purchase of $10 or more of Revlon products. 100% of the contributions go to the American Cancer Society.
As part of the campaign, on Friday, May 1, 2009, Walgreens will contribute $5 (up to $50,000) to the American Cancer Society for every new individual or family that “joins” the Walgreens’ Prescription Savings Club. This special offer will only be available only on Friday, May 1.
Walgreens has a time-honored commitment to the American Cancer Society. Through its involvement in consumer engagement campaigns, like this, the company has generated more than $17 million in the past 11 years to support the Society’s breast cancer prevention and early detection initiatives.
Employee commitment to the fight against cancer extends to the Walgreens payroll deduction program, participation in the Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program, and support of many American Cancer Society regional galas.
