The nominee must:
- must provide care, counsel, and/or service to cancer patients and their families.
- have a demonstrated record of outstanding performance that goes above and beyond the usual roles and responsibilities associated with his or her position.
- serve as a role model to his or her colleagues.
- demonstrate innovative and collaborative approaches to enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Eligible nominees include not only those in the healthcare system, but also anyone who provides direct care, counsel, and/or service to cancer patients and their families. Examples could include volunteers for Reach to Recovery, Look Good…Feel Better, I Can Cope, Man to Man, Road to Recovery, etc.
