Your American Cancer Society is proud to offer free summer camps for children with cancer. Staffed by pediatric oncologists and nurses to attend the children's needs, these camps provide a place for children in treatment or remission to become kids again through the summer camp experience. The camps also allow the children to see they are not alone in their struggle and provide peer support for everyone involved.
For more information on Camp Hope, please contact Stephanie Weiter at 1-800-359-1025 or click here to email her.
Camp Hope takes place each June at Camp Aldrich near Claflin, Kansas. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Camp Hope is open to children between the ages of 7 and 18 years old. In addition, a day camp will be held one day during the week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for children between the ages of 4 and 6 years.
