Young Cancer Survivors Are Living For The Future
College scholarships available to Indiana and Michigan students
Since 1999, the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division Young Survivor Scholarship Program has proudly supported young cancer survivors with scholarships as they pursue ambitious career goals. To date, more than 800 scholarships have been awarded to students in the Great Lakes area. A limited number of tuition scholarships are available for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year. Scholarships are available annually, based on financial need. Academic performance, community service, and leadership qualities are also taken into account. All applications will be reviewed by a volunteer review committee.

To qualify, applicants must be:
  • A cancer survivor age 20 or under (as of April 16, 2009)
  • A U.S. citizen and legal resident of Indiana or Michigan
  • Attending, or planning to attend, an accredited college or university in Indiana or Michigan in Fall 2009 as a full time student carrying 12 or more credit hours per semester

The application deadline is April 16, 2009, 5:00 p.m. EDT.
