We need your help to make a difference. Because of the demands for critical
funding for many issues, our lawmakers and other public officials are no longer
satisfied with receiving volumes of scientific studies and visits from special
interest lobbyists. They need more. Lawmakers need to see and hear from the
people who truly care—namely you.
That's what the Cancer Control Advocacy Team is all
about. CCAT, part of the ACS Action Network, is the Great Lakes Division American Cancer Society's volunteer corps
committed to preventing cancer and making it a priority for Indiana. All CCAT members receive up-to-date alerts and analyses on cancer-related
proposals pending in state legislatures, on Capitol Hill and governmental
agencies; fact sheets and flyers on cancer-related issues; key information on
court decisions; and direct access to ACS staff and resources. Join today, and we'll send you your
free CCAT and ACS Action Network kit, which includes everything you need to begin helping
us fight cancer. All you need to do is to decide how much you want to be
involved and make the commitment.
