Hope Lodge Eligibility Requirements

Rochester Hope Lodge Eligibility Criteria

  • Adult 18 years of age or older receiving daily outpatient chemotherapy and/or radiation.
  • Hope Lodge is a non-medical facility. Patients requiring skilled nursing staff are not eligible.
  • Mayo Clinic Social Services and the patient’s doctor verify the treatment plan. The Hope Lodge manager receives the referral, maintains a waiting list and notifies the patient when a room is available.
  • One adult family member can stay in the room with the patient during treatment.
  • There is a three-night minimum stay and NO maximum length of stay as long as the patient is receiving daily outpatient chemotherapy and/or radiation.
