Discovery Sale Volunteer
The American Cancer Society Discovery Sale benefits people with cancer, their caregivers and families. In Minnesota we are winning the battle against cancer, with fewer deaths from this disease each year. ACS Discovery Sales will impact our community by the following:
- Research finds answers that help in the fight against cancer by developing new targeted drugs and treatments
- Education promotes healthy lifestyles and encourages patient screening, resulting in identification of cancer at earlier more treatable stages
- Advocacy helps promote access to treatment of uninsured and underinsured patients
- Direct service provides emotional and day-to-day support for cancer patients, their families and their caregivers
