Families face many challenges when a loved one needs cancer treatment far from home. It can be uncomfortable and extremely costly to stay in hotels for weeks at a time. That's where the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge can help. When patients travel to Cincinnati for cancer treatment, the Hope Lodge offers a comfortable, home-like environment in which to stay.
Hope Lodge provides kitchen areas where families can cook their own meals. Comfortable rooms have private bathrooms and plenty of space for cancer patients and their caregivers. Televisions are only available in community rooms to encourage interaction and group support among all residents. There is a chapel for reflection and prayer. An exercise room to work out physically, and a library to work out mentally are also located in the building.
Hope Lodge is a "home away from home" for cancer patients at a time when they need it most.
Adults with cancer may arrange for themselves and up to two caregivers to stay at the Hope Lodge through a referral process involving their Cincinnati area physician, social worker, or nurse. To initiate a patient referral, please contact the Cincinnati Hope Lodge at the phone number provided below.
