Coaches vs. Cancer of Penn State was founded 12 years ago as part of the national Coaches vs. Cancer program created by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The Penn State program hosts an annual celebrity golf tournament that features some of the university’s most prominent sports figures as well as professional sports celebrities from throughout Pennsylvania. Other events include a student-organized 5K race, a car raffle party and football tailgate benefits.
This year, Coaches vs. Cancer of Penn State looks to surpass $1 million in total funds raised throughout the history of the program.
