A city known for having tough sports teams is now asked to get tough on cancer, as the second annual American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer Hoops For Hope Gala looks to raise much-needed funds to fight the disease. Join us on Friday, May 1, 2009 for the Hoops for Hope Gala at the Sen. John Heinz History Center.
Hoops For Hope is a black-tie gala hosted by Pittsburgh's Division I coaches that offers an exciting evening of dancing, dinner, celebrity appearances, and a unique silent auction. The goal of the event is to raise $200,000 to benefit the mission of the American Cancer Society.
Pittsburgh college basketball coaches and their spouses Coach Jamie Dixon and wife Jacqueline, Coach Agnus Berenato and husband Jack, University of Pittsburgh; Coach Ron Everhart and wife Mirchana, Coach Suzie McConnell-Serio and husband Pete, Duquesne University; and Coach Mike Rice and wife Kerry, and Coach Sal Buscaglia, Robert Morris University.
Gala Schedule
6 pm: Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction
7 pm - Midnight: Dinner, Silent Auction, Dessert and Dancing.
Entertainment will be provided by Sputzy
Ticket pricing: $250 per guest or $2,500 for a Table Host.
Entitlements for a Table Host:
One (1) table that seats 8 guests
Name recognition visible on the table
Preferred table location in the ballroom
