The American Cancer Society has incorporated "interoperabile" electronic and information technologies to ensure that applicants with disabilities—who may be using assistive technology/adaptive software and adaptive strategies—can effectively interact and communicate with our online application system.
If you are having difficulty, due to a disability, in using our online application system (or would like to explain any other problem you are having in applying for a job because of a disability), please contact us at 1-800- 227-2345 to request accommodation so that we may ensure that you can submit a timely application and have an equal opportunity to compete for jobs.

It is the policy of the American Cancer Society not to discriminate against any employee or any applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status or veteran status. This policy shall include, but not be limited to, the following: recruitment and employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, training, layoff and termination.

Relay For Life
What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is a community-based event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for the American Cancer Society. On the day of the event, teams of people gather at school or community football fields, fairgrounds or parks and take turns walking, jogging or running laps. Each team is asked to keep at least one representative of their team on the track at all times.

The Relay For Life is also a fund-raising event. Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $100 from donors before the event. To raise money, team members solicit donations, and hold garage sales, car washes and other fun-filled activities.

Who Participates?

Teams are organized by friends, relatives, local businesses, hospitals, schools, churches, service clubs, and other organizations. Anyone can participate in the Relay For Life.

When and Where are the Relays Held?

Relay For Life events are held in thousands of communities across the country. The Relays usually take place at a high school or college track.

In the months to come we'll be posting web sites built by Relay teams from around the country. If you need more help or have any other questions about Relay for Life, contact your local ACS office or call 1-800-ACS-2345.
