You already know how it feels to take a pill or rub a medicine on your skin. And you've probably felt the slight but brief discomfort of an injection before. IV medicines should not hurt after the first needle stick to put in the catheter. If you feel pain, burning, coolness, or anything unusual while you are getting chemo, tell your doctor or nurse right away.
