The Hospital Locator can be used to answer the following important questions:
- Is there a nearby hospital approved by the Commission on Cancer?
- Is there a CoC-approved hospital nearby where I can get a second opinion?
- What number of board-certified physicians or surgeons does the hospital have, and what specialties are they certified in?
- Does the hospital offer a specific diagnostic test, or a specific type of treatment?
- Does the hospital offer participation in clinical trials?
- Can the hospital provide specialized pain control services?
- Does the hospital offer some type of assistance with travel to and from treatment?
- How many cancers did the facility diagnosis and treat in past years?
- What percentage of all cancers did the facility diagnose and treat that is similar to my type of cancer?
- Which CoC-approved hospitals offer cancer screenings?
- Which CoC-approved hospitals offer prevention programs, such as smoking cessation and nutrition education?
