About this Important Issue
WHAT: The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and the American Cancer Society
(ACS) partnered to translate the clinical NCCN Prostate Cancer Guidelines into a
patient-friendly resource for appropriate treatment. In March, the NCCN and ACS released patient-friendly breast cancer treatment guidelines. Incorporating the clinical experience of the 17 NCCN member institutions, these new guidelines offer prostate cancer patients and their families the reliable, specific and easy-to-understand information they need to make timely and well-informed decisions about this critical health care issue.
