Free Mammograms
Email:

All of us want to feel like we’re doing something to care for those in need. One email says that by simply clicking on a breast cancer Web site, “a woman gets a free mammogram at no cost to you.” The email says corporate sponsors who advertise on the site pay for the mammograms and that you can click on the site only once.

Fact:

In fact, this is not a scam, and the email is, for the most part, accurate. However, it takes not one click but tens of thousands to pay for each mammogram. And you are not limited to one click total, but one click per day. It’s important to note that the breast cancer site is a for-profit company, not a non-profit charity.
