Summer is the perfect time to get the facts on limiting your sun exposure and preventing skin cancer. On July 19, America's Health Network (AHN) will feature "Sun Struck - Shedding Light on Skin Cancer" to give viewers the facts to protect themselves. "Sun Struck" will be replayed during the week on July 20, 22, 23 and 25. Check your cable listing for AHN in your area. Or, view the network on Direct TV channel 289. If AHN isn't available in your community, contact your cable operator. Guests on the program include:
The ACS provides editorial content and guests for a monthly show on AHN addressing the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer. The June 28 show, "Cancer Cure: Hype or Hope," covered recent cancer "cure" reports, in an effort to clear up public confusion about what current research promises for patients. The show also explored ways the public can get information to put this news in perspective.
