How to Get Answers

Asking the Right Questions is an interactive tool that helps guide you through the cancer experience. In the first section -- Where Are You in the Cancer Experience? -- click the box(es) that best describes the person with cancer: Newly Diagnosed, In Treatment, After Treatment, or with Advanced Illness.

In the second section -- Who Is Your Question For? -- click the box(es) that best describe who your questions are for: yourself/the person with cancer, a physician, an employer, an insurance representative or financial advisor. It lists the questions most likely asked by patients and their caregivers both during and after treatment for cancer. In both sections, you can "choose all" and get all the questions for those topics. After making your choices, click the "Go" button at the bottom.

You will then see an automatically generated list of questions. When you select one to look at, you will be taken to a page that gives you:
  • an answer to the question
  • other available resources that will help answer the question
  • a suggestion of a human contact who might be able to discuss your question with you

You will also see a list of related questions on the right-hand side that might interest you.

If you need more help, call us anytime, day or night, for more information at 1-800-ACS.2345.

Good luck in your search!
