Areas reviewed: Studies dealing with leukemia, lymphomas, other hematologic malignancies and immunology, the hematopoietic system and the control of the development and differentiation of erythroid, myeloid, and lymphoid blood cells. Studies involving platelets, coagulation, the complement system, and the biology of the immune system including cell types, cytokines, antigen processing, antibody molecules, immune tolerance and deficiencies. Preclinical therapeutic studies include chemotherapy, immunotherapeutic approaches and bone marrow transplantation. Related clinical research training grants and clinical research professorships are included.
