Medical science has made great progress in the fight against cancer: better treatments, new ways to find the disease early, and stronger efforts at prevention. But the sad reality is that not everyone is benefitting equally from these discoveries. Members of racial and ethnic minorities in the United States are often more likely to develop cancer, and more likely to die from it.
