 Advocate

Cancer isn’t just a medical issue. It is also a psychological, social and economic issue. And when our elected officials can make decisions that affect the lives of cancer survivors, their families and potential cancer patients, the disease also becomes a political issue. That’s why the American Cancer Society works at every government level – federal, state and local – to promote beneficial laws and policies that affect everyone touched by cancer.
