Breast cancer treatment, like surgery to remove part or all of your breast, or chemo that causes hair loss can result in major changes in the way you look. It also can cause major changes in how you feel about your body -- your body image. For some people, this is a very tough time and these changes can be hard to get used to. When your doctor says you are ready, you should be fitted with a breast form (prosthesis) suited to you. Breast prostheses are breast forms that are put inside a bra to make your breasts look natural and balanced. Reach to Recovery^® suggests and encourages each woman to wear whatever bra she finds most comfortable. Keep in mind that the most expensive bras and prostheses are not always the best.
