Institutional Research Grants are block grants averaging $90,000 per year for three years given to institutions as "seed money" for the initiation of projects by promising junior investigators.

IRG Sample Application
Recipients of IRG individual awards and student stipends must submit a progress report upon the completion of their research projects. Principal investigators of Institutional Research Grants may wish to collect this information electronically by distributing these forms to recipients.
