Meet Our Donors
Much of the lifesaving work we do in India would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. Even modest investments can make an enormous impact on reducing the burden of this disease in parts of the world where these resources are critically needed. Here are some of our donors:
Dr. Ravi Patel and the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Centers (CBCC)

Dr. Ravi Patel
Dr. Ravi Patel and the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Centers (CBCC) in Bakersfield, California, announced a generous Pioneer Gift to the American Cancer Society India Cancer Initiative on October 1, 2008. The gift provides critical support to launch a comprehensive cancer information program in Ahmedabad, a city in the Indian state of Gujarat. Physician outreach, cancer early detection, and access to cancer information are all key elements of the Society's India Initiative program in Ahmedabad.
The John and Editha Kapoor Charitable Foundation

Dr. John Kapoor
Some of our programs, such as ACSU India trainings and fellowships for Indian cancer control professionals in the US, have been funded by generous support from The John and Editha Kapoor Charitable Foundation. As trustee of the John and Editha Kapoor Charitable Foundation, Dr. John Kapoor has given his valuable time and support to ACS India.
GE Healthcare
Another generous supporter of our India programs is GE Healthcare. During our ACSU training in Delhi, GE Healthcare provided funding for a cancer early detection seminar and a luncheon panel discussion titled, “Advancing Early Health: Chronic Disease Prevention in India.”
