Funding for Research That Focuses on Underserved Populations
The Extramural Research Grants Department sets aside 10% of its budget to support research that addresses disparities in cancer morbidity and mortality in underserved populations. This initiative includes research that addresses a variety of clinical, cancer control, behavioral, epidemiologic, health policy, health services and basic science questions. Funding is available for:
- Postdoctoral Fellowships
- Mentored awards for Beginning Investigators
- Scholar Grants for Independent Investigators
