Welcome to the American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge At the Hope Lodge, we understand that undergoing treatment for cancer can be both financially and emotionally overwhelming. For many, treatment at New Orleans medical centers provides the greatest hope, but requires that they are far from home, adding the additional burden of travel and lodging expenses. That is why the American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in the New Orleans area. | |
Saints QB Drew Brees Wins $100,000 Pepsi Refresh Project Grant to Support Hope Lodge in New Orleans The votes are in and more than 500,000 fans have spoken – Drew Brees is the winner of a $100,000 Pepsi Refresh grant that will support the American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans. Brittany Brees, Drew's wife, called the Hope Lodge on February 5 to announce the good news. | ![]() |
Drew chose the Hope Lodge for his Pepsi Refresh Project after visiting with his wife, Brittany (click here for story.) The Pepsi Refresh Project is designed to help people, businesses, and non-profits with ideas that will have a positive impact in their community. As part of the upcoming Super Bowl festivities, three NFL players were featured in this nationwide promotion along with their chosen project. Fighting Cancer is hard. Finding help should not be. Getting emotional and social support from other survivors can be as important as getting the proper medical care. At the Hope Lodge, patients live with other people going through similar experiences, and are supported by caring staff and volunteers. The nurturing, comfortable environment at Hope Lodge allows patients to focus on what is most important - fighting cancer. | |
