Russell Wiley, a Life Scout in Troop 65 chartered by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Hershey, is currently working on an Eagle project to benefit the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. Russell is currently a junior at Hershey High School and has been scouting since the first grade.

Russell’s Eagle project will help the Hope Lodge organize the storage areas, develop an inventory system, build bird feeders, rebuild a donated birdhouse made in the image of Hope Lodge, and refurbish the patio seating. Russell is recruiting volunteers to help build shelving in Hope Lodge’s two sheds.  A large volume of donated products arrives at various times, and a better-organized storage space will help the Hope Lodge staff keep an accurate inventory. Hope Lodge residents enjoy watching birds, which is why Russell has also chosen to build three bird feeders from cedar wood.

Thank you to Russell for taking the time to help the residents, volunteers, and staff at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Hershey!
