For the third consecutive year, 3M Littman has been supporting the American Cancer Society by increasing breast cancer awareness through the sale of a special limited-edition pink stethoscope (Classic II SE). The American Cancer Society receives $5, for every pink stethoscope sold. The promotion has raised over $100,000 for the Society.

From September 10 to October 31, 2012, A.C. Moore will partner with the American Cancer Society to sell American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer breast cancer awareness scannables at checkout. Scannables are available for $1 with 100 percent of proceeds contributed to the American Cancer Society. In addition to the scannables, A.C. Moore will host a breast cancer awareness-related craft activity during October for customers.

From October 1–31, 2012, participating Ace Hardware stores will offer customers the opportunity to purchase a pink co-branded bucket for five dollars and receive twenty percent off all items that fit in the bucket. Ace Hardware will also offer one dollar pink ribbon scannables. All proceeds from the bucket and pink ribbon card sales will be contributed to the American Cancer Society. Estimated revenue from the Ace Hardware promotion projected to be at least $75,000.

DS Waters of America, Inc. (DS Waters®) has joined with the American Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer. DS Waters is a producer and distributor of bottled water, water filtration and coffee products delivered to homes, offices and retail outlets across the United States. Athena, one of the brands of water owned by DS Waters, was created in 2003 with the sole purpose to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness, education and research.

Athena and the American Cancer Society created a multi-year national promotion in 2011 to fight breast cancer and create more birthdays through its bottled water sales. The American Cancer Society is excited about this partnership and appreciates the support from DS Waters of America, Inc.

During the promotion, over 800 dressbarn stores will sell "Ruby" a plush dog toy, for $6. A minimum of $2.50 from every sale will be contributed to the American Cancer Society to support local and national cancer initiatives. This in-store campaign has been a part of dressbarn's ongoing relationship with the American Cancer Society since 2003.

John Paul Mitchell conducts their third annual breast cancer awareness promotion in 2012 in support of American Cancer Society. JPMS will promote and offer for sale at its participating retailers pink hair dryers, pink curling irons and pink brushes, with the product, packaging and accompanying promotional materials containing the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer logo.

JPMS will also promote and offer to its associates and customers an opportunity to make contributions to the Society through participating salons and John Paul Mitchell schools. Fundraising may include "Birthday Blow Out Specials" and Cut-a-thons. Company will produce significant PR around the relationship in print, web, viral and TV. One hundred percent of the contributions from the fundraising efforts will go to the American Cancer Society.

Since 2004, Foot Locker, Inc., a global retailer of athletic shoes and apparel, which includes Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction, has been supporting the American Cancer Society's efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.

Lady Foot Locker demonstrates their support of the American Cancer Society each October, through their annual cause marketing campaign and their participation in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness month (and continuing while supplies last through December 2012), Foot Locker will offer customers a variety of promotional items; a portion of the sale of each item benefits the Society. All items include breast cancer messaging about the importance of detecting breast cancer early, when it is most treatable. In an effort to raise additional awareness, Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs Sports, also air the Society's breast cancer awareness television ad during October on their in-store monitors. To date, Foot Locker has raised more than $1.4 million dollars for the American Cancer Society through this annual cause-marketing campaign.

From October 1–31, 2012, Lee Jeans will be conducting their 17th annual Lee National Denim Day (LNDD). This will be the first year that the American Cancer Society will be the beneficiary. LNDD is a casual dress promotion that allows a company’s employees to pay $5 to wear jeans to work. Funds raised from this promotion will benefit Hope Lodge facilities, research grants, and select community screening grants. Lee has committed to raise funds for these programs through December 31, 2013. Kickoff events will be held at select Hope Lodge facilities around the country in the fall of 2012 to increase awareness and support for LNDD and the Society. Since the program’s inception in 1996, LNDD has raised more than $86 million for breast cancer awareness, research, and education.

The year 2012 marks the 18th year of the Longaberger Company’s “Horizon of Hope” charitable sales promotion, from which $2 per signature item sold from July through October has been donated to the American Cancer Society to support breast cancer research and education projects. Since 1995, over three and a half million “Horizon of Hope” products have been sold, which has generated over $15 million in revenue and an estimated 20 million women have received messages about breast cancer early detection through this promotion. Items this year included the limited edition Horizon of Hope basket and other Horizon of Hope promotional items.

The Longaberger Company features information about the Horizon of Hope Campaign and the fight to end breast cancer on a special Web site, www.horizonofhope.com.

Lowe's is a US-based chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores that serves more than 14 million customers a week through 1,555 stores in the United States and Canada.

For the sixth year in a row, Lowe's stores in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania featured the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer pink ribbon donation card at their registers during October and invited customers to register for area Making Strides events. Breast cancer awareness messages are also posted at sign-up stations.

National Football League (NFL) Logo

For the fourth consecutive year, the National Football League will conduct a breast cancer promotion to benefit the American Cancer Society's efforts to end the disease. The NFL chose the American Cancer Society as the official charity for its October breast cancer awareness efforts, which include awareness activities, and an online auction. The promotion, called "A Crucial Catch" includes:

  • Post-game online auction. This auction includes pink items worn by players, coaches, and referees during the month of October, such as footballs, commemorative coins, and player apparel including wristbands, hats, and towels. The American Cancer Society will receive 100% of the gross revenues of the auction, which is being held online at nflauction.nfl.com and promoted with banner ads on nfl.com.
  • Pink merchandise. Pink NFL-branded merchandise will be sold in October at all in-stadium NFL team shops (while supplies last) and at nflshop.com. Trading cards with breast cancer facts and the American Cancer Society's recommendations for the early detection of breast cancer are being provided with each purchase at the NFL team shops.
  • The NFL also has a national Making Strides NFL team page where clubs and fans can create teams to participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

The Pampered Chef® Logo

The Pampered Chef began their collaboration with the American Cancer Society in 2000 with the Help Whip Cancer campaign. Each May, independent Pampered Chef consultants raise funds from the sale of pink limited edition products and through Help Whip Cancer Fundraiser Cooking Shows. Since the program began, Help Whip Cancer has raised more than $10.5 million to help the Society end breast cancer.

In addition to their Help Whip Cancer efforts, Pampered Chef coworkers and consultants can be found each October in their communities supporting their local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. As one of the largest and most successful Making Strides National Team Programs, the company has raised the bar on recruitment and fundraising. The Pampered Chef also supports the Making Strides event by offering select pink products online each October.

From September 1 to November 3, 2013, SO.CAP.USA will promote its “Pink Hair For Hope” campaign in more than 1,000 participating salons nationwide. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase a pink hair extension clip for a $10 contribution. The American Cancer Society will receive a portion of the proceeds raised through this promotion.

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Logo

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers

Again this fall, select Tanger Factory Outlet Centers from across the country will make contributions to the American Cancer Society by raising money to end breast cancer. The centers will sell a "25% Pink Card" savings card. For a minimum $1 contribution, shoppers will receive the special savings card that will entitle them to 25% off discount offers on merchandise at participating Tanger stores (one card good for one item). The "25% Pink Card" will be available at all Tanger customer service centers or Tanger management offices.

During the last 15 years, Tanger has contributed almost $5.4 million to the American Cancer Society through its breast cancer awareness fall promotions and Relay For Life® involvement.

Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA) Logo

Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA)

During the month of October, the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA) will be conducting its “Pink Ride”. For each participating member company, a portion of each fare in the month of October will be donated to the American Cancer Society. TLPA members will be encouraged to paint all or a portion of one or more vehicles in their fleets pink, or affix pink ribbon decals. TLPA has chosen the American Cancer Society as its national charity of choice. The program is designed to have a national collective impact, while ensuring that donated funds benefit TLPA members’ local areas of operations. Members have the option of naming their own local organizations – such as breast cancer treatment centers or hospitals – or making donations to the Society.

The American Cancer Society is grateful for the TLPA and their efforts to help end breast cancer!
