American Cancer Society Announces New Facebook Promotion to Support Relay For Life Paint the Town Purple Efforts
New York, NY (April 15, 2011) - Show your Relay For Life purple pride on Facebook and you could win a special prize package from The Hope Shop. It's all part of the new "Paint. Click. WIN!" effort, announced today, by the American Cancer Society of New York and New Jersey.
Each year, communities across New York and New Jersey prepare for Relay For Life by holding Paint the Town Purple events. Paint the Town Purple is a great way to raise awareness about Relay For Life in a community. People decorate their local business, college campus, town square (all with permission of course), even their home with purple. Purple is the official color of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.
"Paint. Click. Win!" links Paint the Town Purple with the power of social media to raise awareness both in the community and online. Plus, you could win an awesome prize!
What do you need to do? First, check out some of tips on PAINTing your town, community, business, school or home purple in celebration of all things Relay. Then, CLICK a photo of your purple pride and post your best Paint the Town Purple picture on the wall of the American Cancer Society of NY & NJ's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cancernynj. Photos can be posted from April 25 - May 13, 2011. Everyone who posts a picture will receive a coupon for 15% off their next purchase at The Hope Shop.
The American Cancer Society will pick it's favorite three pictures on May 16 and all of their Facebook fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite! The winner will be announced on May 20th and first prize is an awesome prize pack full of cool stuff from The Hope Shop.
