Welcome to the webpage for the American Cancer Society in Kansas. Below, you’ll find information on ways to get involved with the Society, including volunteer opportunities and special fundraising events hosted throughout the year.

Want to Help Cancer Patients?
As a volunteer-driven organization, the American Cancer Society relies heavily on the passion, commitment, and hard work of our volunteers. Below are some ways you can get involved to directly help cancer patients in your community:

Road to Recovery® – a program that provides free rides to cancer patients undergoing treatment. Volunteer drivers need to have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and adequate auto insurance.
Reach to Recovery® – a program that provides support for newly-diagnosed breast cancer patients. Volunteers for this program are breast cancer survivors who mentor newly-diagnosed patients throughout the patient’s breast cancer journey.
Look Good…Feel Better® – a program for women undergoing cancer treatment. Volunteers for this program are licensed cosmetologists who teach women how to deal with the appearance-related side effects of treatment – restoring their self-esteem and boosting their confidence.

Want to Get Involved with a Fundraising Event?
