Your American Cancer Society is here to help in Hawai`i
How we help...
Thousands of volunteers serve Island residents through Field offices on Oahu, the Big Island, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and Guam
To date the Society has invested more than $2.2 billion dollars in cancer research and has provided grant support to 31 Nobel Peace Prize winners early in their careers.
That means taking precautions to prevent the occurrence of cancer. Hawai`i Pacific programs focus on tobacco control, diet, physical activity, comprehensive school health education, and reducing the risks of skin cancer.
Detection and Treatment
Our goal is to increase survival rates in the Hawai`i Pacific region by educating people in ways to detect cancer while it is still in its early stages and treatable.
Every year over one million cancer patients are helped nationwide through up-to-date cancer information, ACS patient service programs and referrals to other organizations. Patients and families can also benefit from our online service programs such as the Cancer Survivor's Network, Cancer Profiler, Community Resources Database and more.
Whether it's through our Web site, or by having our Cancer Information Specialists available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800-ACS-2345, the American Cancer Society is here to help you whenever you need us.
