The American Cancer Society is the largest non-government funder of cancer research in the United States. Since our national research program began in 1946, we have devoted nearly $3 billion to cancer research.

Community Investment Grants
Community Investment Grants support local and regional efforts to increase cancer awareness, reach newly diagnosed cancer patients, and promote prevention and early detection. Funding is intended to promote teamwork and foster partnerships in Ohio communities.
Transportation Grants
Transportation Grants are awarded to local organizations so that programs may be expanded to provide free transportation to cancer patients.

Research remains an essential element of the American Cancer Society's mission. Our Hero of Hope Research Awards recognize the individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancements of cancer research and cancer care in Ohio.
