The International Tobacco Control Research Program (within the American Cancer Society’s Intramural Research Department) conducts, analyzes, and publishes original research on tobacco control, particularly focusing on tobacco taxes and trade issues. The group consists of 6 full-time staff members including 3 doctoral-level and 2 masters-level personnel.

Our researchers include experts on tobacco taxation and economics, and the analysis of economic data as it relates to the tobacco trade and its effects on cancer rates worldwide.
