Call for Abstracts- CLOSED!

We will begin accepting abstract submissions for the 6th Biennial Cancer Survivorship Research Conference in early December and the submission deadline is January 17, 2012. As in the past, we will accept scientific abstracts describing the results of methodologically rigorous survivorship research. In addition, the 6th Biennial will include a new category for abstract submission—programmatic abstracts describing innovative, high impact survivorship programs. All abstracts must report original analyses and results, which have not been presented at a previous scientific meeting. All submitted abstracts will be competitively reviewed. All accepted abstracts will be included in the abstract book, which will be available at the conference and posted online.

Scientific Abstracts
Preference will be given to clearly written scientific abstracts describing research that could significantly improve the understanding of cancer survivorship, is innovative, and uses rigorous methods. Several meritorious scientific abstracts will be selected for oral (podium) presentations. The presenting author from an abstract selected for oral presentation will have registration fees waived, air travel and hotel costs covered. Top scoring scientific abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be awarded citations.

Programmatic Abstracts
In recognition of the conference theme Translating Science to Care, the 6th Biennial will highlight selected programmatic abstracts. Preference will be given to clearly written programmatic abstracts that report compelling data and describe innovative programs that could make an important contribution to the field of cancer survivorship. Programmatic abstracts may report data from program evaluations, quality improvement efforts, or other sources.
