American Cancer Society Wig Program provided by American Cancer Society - Amherst

Program Details

Provides free wigs for adult women (18+) in financial need who are suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment. No walk-ins, must have an appointment. Intended for those who are un-insured/underinsured for cranial prostheses (wigs) and for those who do not yet own a wig. 1 wig per patient. Synthetic and human hair wigs available but there is no guarantee that we will have exactly what a patient is looking for. Items may vary depending on availability. Limited supply of head coverings may be available. Does NOT accept donation of used wigs. ONLY accept donations of NEW, unworn wigs (tags must still be on), scarves, hats and turbans (does not accept blankets) which can be mailed or dropped off at the office.

*Appointments are held Mon - Fri during business hours. Since wig appointment schedules vary by office and offsite location, patients must work with their local office to further discuss available wig times. Walk-ins are not permitted.
