Staff and Volunteers

The Cleveland Hope Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The staff includes the manager, Tracy Michael, assistant manager, Simone Swanson, and David Moss the resident coordinator. The Lodge is very fortunate to have a strong, dedicated team of weekend coordinator that ensure the Hope Lodge runs flawlessly and that the guests are well taken care of.

The Cleveland Hope Lodge is blessed to have a dedicated volunteer team, without whom, the Lodge would not function. Many of the Hope Lodge volunteers have been involved with the Hope Lodge during its inception, during the fundraising and building phases and continue to provide daily support through reception, driving, and board duties.

In addition, The Cleveland Hope Lodge has many fine groups that provide support to the guests. They include:

·         The Rocky River High School students sponsor several potluck dinners per year. They are an amazing group of kids who make dinner and sit with the guests. Shari Caruso, their Home Economics teacher ensures that everyone has a gourmet meal for the evening. The Cleveland Institute of Art Students, Park Synangogue, and Holy Rosary Church also serve an amazing dinner several times per year.

·         The Cleveland Institute of Music Chamber Ensemble and Mu Phi Episilon provide outstanding music throughout the year. The guests often comment that they feel they have own private orchestra in the living room at Hope Lodge. Other musicians include Lisa Bell, Nathan Carterette, Simmi Tripathi, Jonathan Roberts

·         Other groups have provided dental and nutrition information to the guests, vital during their course of treatment.

·         The College of Wooster Students decked the halls during the Winter Holidays under the direction of head volunteer "elf" Loretta Cochran. The CWRU's Alpa Phi Omega provides activities such as bingo night, game night, movie night, and scrapbooking throughout the school year.

If you or your group are interested in providing a meal, an activity, or sharing a special talent with the guests, please contact Tracy or Simone at the Hope Lodge, 216-844-HOPE (4673).
