I would recommend anyone who is receiving cancer treatment to stay at that Hope Lodge. When I found out I had a rare type of cancer and could not receive my treatment at Ames or Des Moines, I didn't know what I would do as we have very little money.

My doctor suggested I stay at the Hope Lodge. I said I would, but was a little hesitant not knowing anything about it, I didn't want to be in a place where all I did was sit and look out a window. To my surprise, I found it to be a very friendly atmosphere where everybody here has the same thing in common.

They have potluck dinners every Tuesday night and entertainment throughout the week! I am enjoying my stay and would recommend it to everybody!
